India’s ad spend is up 200% from previous year’s total: Within the APAC region, India is considered by many mobile ad executives to be the most influential country. This rise in spend can be attributed to many factors, including the rise in smartphone use. According to the Mobile Marketing Association, India is the world’s fastest growing smartphone market. With that comes increased demand for mobile advertising campaigns. As we head to 2016, India will continue to grow as one of the biggest markets, not only in the APAC region, but in the world.

Australia, Indonesia and The Philippines are moving the needle: Much has been made about India’s impact on the region. Recently other countries have grown significantly as well. In each country above, the ad spend from 2014 to 2015 has grown by at least 150%, with the Philippines seeing the most growth. The growth shown in countries other than India proves that APAC has diversified. According to Rohit Dadwal of the MMA, “Asia Pacific is a truly diverse region, and the growth and maturity of mobile marketing has seen the region’s power markets grow from four to six.”
